Dear friends, I wanted
to let you know that I received death records
confirming my great-grandfather's execution
in 1937 in Kharkov, Ukraine. I was trying
to search for this information from here,
but needless to say, had no response from
Ukrainian authorities. Now, I can put my
wonder to rest. Thank you and keep up the
good work. I will gladly pass recommendations
on your behalf.
Best wishes, Marc

I spent years trying to
obtain information and hit a dead end many
times. The most rewarding was when I contacted
genealogicaltree@ukrpost.net and I dealt
with Olha and Vera. They were able to obtain
a birth record for my grandfather who was
born in 1880
in Chernowitz and then they were able to
locate the birth record for his mother,
my great-grandmother. My grandfathers’
birth record gave the name of both of his
parents and also the name of his mother's
father and indicated her father was Lev
of Lemberg. From that birth record genealogicaltree
was able to locate birth information on
my grandfather's mother and her five siblings.
It took some time and cost roughly $280.00.
I am glad to give my referrals to anybody
interested in more details. I am sure Ukrainian
canter of Genealogical Research can help
you.
Regards, Sarah Linn Ritts
